The Cubs won the World Series.
Sure, they were the best team in baseball in 2016 and it's fitting that the best team wins the top prize. But it's the Cubs. This isn't exactly permitted.
It would've been cooler had Chapman somehow didn't get a ring, but I'll have to be satisfied with his blown save from a homer by Rajai Davis (one of baseball's true gentlemen. Church Boy! ) But ugh.
It was a great series and one of the tightest of recent memory. I really had no idea who was going to come out on top. When the Cubs started to score runs on Kluber and Miller, I knew things were tipping in Chicago's favour.
And in the end, the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.
Kittens are playing with the tatters.
What's left except Anthony Rizzo twerking on SNL?
Can we just talk about this kid's thighs for a second?
Also, earlier this year, Jake Arrieta pitched in the desert. Naked. And it was photographed for ESPN.
So we must now content ourselves with the off season.
The Blue Jays are doing fun things and showing those fun things on social media. Most fun?
I kind of wonder how this went. Josh Donaldson is well known to be the most competitive on his team. And Jordan's competitiveness has been described as insane.
Alpha vs Alpha.
I no longer listen to sports radio or read the sports section. I don't click on anything that speculates and I won't speculate here. Nothing about players in Boston and qualifying offers. Nothing about free agency or who is worth what.
I recognise that I am entirely too attached to boys I don't know. But I just don't want the noise.
Here is some more enjoyable noise:
This was Sergio Santos' walk out song and it was glorious in the Rogers Centre. And this album is somehow 20 years old.
And this is my current banger. I'm obsessed with the steel drum.
