Things I Found While Perusing
It was an off day yesterday, but the Jays played some charity golf before they took off for Cleveland and before Toronto got biblical.

Time to trade Janssen? Time to shut up. There might be a "surplus of arms" in the bullpen, but I am likely to discount any argument that contains that statement. If anything is true in baseball, it's that there is no such thing as too many arms. I can't get behind tinkering with the one thing on this team that has been consistent. Hayhurst also wanted to trade Bautista earlier this year, so I guess this is his thing. Trades make sense for the right piece- but the "right piece" is sometimes not so obvious or attainable. Stoeten thinks Hayhurst is probably right, so that just means he's likely wrong (oh, burn.)
Drew Fairservice, friend to all and to this blog, continues his "My Approach" series and talks to Miguel Cabrera about, well, his approach. His approach is something. More on Cabrera, Erika Gilbert of the National Post writes about Cabrera's chumminess with the Blue Jays. His chumminess includes destroying their offered pitches, because he's nice like that.
The London Tigers (Detroit's AA affiliate from 1989-1993) were so much a part of my childhood that any talk of them makes me instantly nostalgic. I remember the theme song ("Tear 'em up, Tigers. Let's go!") and when the San Diego Chicken was at a game. So, I'll be watching this documentary.
Manny Ramirez may or may not be seen playing Major League baseball, but he's playing for the Round Rock Express, Texas' AAA affiliate. I just really like Manny, who was not only one of the best but also one of the true freaks this game has seen.

You might be too cool for the All Star Game, but #raisethebar for Steve Delabar, whose story is a pretty remarkable one.
And this . Jeez, it's just a bullpen full of inspirational stories. And Hayhurst wants to trade each and every one of them.
It's been 20 years since the Jays won the World Series. The players have been doing some things.
