Josh Donaldson: Baseball MVP of my Heart

Josh Donaldson is amazing.

When Brett Lawrie was shipped out, I felt uneasy. Not because I thought it was a bad trade , but rather because one gets used to certain players as a constant and when that is changed, a balance might be upset. (Really, I just have issues with change.)

I checked Donaldson's numbers from 2014 and thought about them in the Rogers Centre and I got over it. Immediately. I have since come to believe that this trade will be the key element in AA's legacy.

I sort of can't believe he did it. How did he pull this off? What dirt does he have on Billy Beane?

According to Fangraphs, Donaldson is currently sitting second behind Jason Kipnis and just ahead of Mike Trout in WAR.

He has five homers in the last four games.

“I don’t think there’s anybody hotter in the game right now,” said John Gibbons. Astute observation, Gibbs.

The other fun thing about Donaldson is the guy has a bit of a an edge. Since the "duck my clock" incident with the Angels earlier in the month, I've started to assume that every gesture he does might be a little rude. After his homer last night, Josh did this fist pump thing, that may or may not be a wanking gesture:
"You will rub my belly, and you will like it."

As for his hair, it has been revealed that he has drawn inspiration for it from a Blue Jays blogger:

Awesome.
