Diplomatic Immunity- Drake

Well, Aubrey released some music this week. This is pretty fire- he raps about losing Jennifer Lopez.

Gassed off journalistic
Come at me and all you'll get is the ballistic report
Booked a private room at Wylie's, waiter twistin' the cork
I got multi-colored rings like the Olympics, of course
At award shows, cuttin' through the tension, of course
Girls huggin' me then askin' me, "What scent that is, boy?"
I be walkin' around the Six like I invented it, boy
Yeah, who am I? The do or die
The one with the fewest lies and the truest ties

Egyptian Luvr- Rejjie Snow feat. Aminé & Dana Williams

Settle-Haulm

Ooh Love- Ria Mae

I’m a bit late to this, but I was listening to the radio in my car more often than I normally do, and this song played on the radio several times. The hook is everything good about pop music. She’s Canadian, too.

January December- TOBi

Resplandor- Tremor

Something Like This- Ukiyo ft. FEELDS

Sexy AF.

Black Hole- Chris Dave and the Drumhedz ft. Anderson.Paak

I’m inclined to like anything with Anderson.Paak, so smart choice, Chris Dave.

Also, quality mixtape, Chris Dave, you drumming fool.

Mexico- Jaalid

Yellow Days- Gap in the Clouds

I’ve featured this British singer/songwriter before, but this song was in the promo for season two of Atlanta and I was reminded how dreamy it is.

Miss You - Cashmere Cat ft. Major Lazer & Tory Lanez

Prémonition- Coeur de Pirate

Own This- Cadence Weapon

This boy can blow. Covering Billie Holiday.

Happy Days are Here Again - Barbra Streisand

I’ve caught up on some TV and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is well worth anyone’s time. It’s set in the late 50s, in New York City, and it features a tonne of mid-century music including Barbra Streisand’s version of Happy Days are Here Again. I’m not sure how she manages to do it, but this version of this song makes me wistful. She also sings the shit out of it.
