We're All Fat and Stupid and Wrong

So JP Arencibia (or Aaron Cibia, if you prefer) did something kind of stupid this morning.

Sigh. Of course, things blew up.  Fat jokes are sensitive (and I'm not even sure this is a fat joke, but more of an immature "I'm going to poke you where it hurts like you did to me." A fat joke to me is like "Your momma's so fat, she eats Eric Mirlis and his chins as a first course in a five course meal.")

And both of them did something on Twitter that I find irritating.

JP fed trolls when he should've just blocked @themirl and gone about his business.  It's one way Twitter is better than real life. You can just erase, eliminate and block any one who is irritating you. You can pretend they don't exist at all.   I'm sure Jays' PR machine is going to have a very annoying talk with Arencibia and he'll be very contrite.

Mirilis also did something that irritated me.  If you are going to talk shit about a player, don't @ reply to include them.  You are just being a dick to do that. He did the same thing to Logan Morrison (@LoMoMarlins) just before his JP tweet.

And this inviting JP and/or the people defending him to call his show, and prolong this stupidity is lame and self-serving. His acting shocked that people are coming to JP's defence is ridiculous as it is pretty evident he was trying to start something by @ replying JP in the first place.

Arencibia has looked pretty terrible at the dish, other than his game winning extra inning homer on opening day (which continues to be awesome.) But I'm convinced Arencibia can pull it together. If not, we can always rely on that guy who is back up. Jeff whatever his name is.
