The Belly of the Beast
I'll admit that I had some concerns. The California trip was less fun the last two games, but they did finish .500 on a west coast road trip, which, as I said before, is usually where dreams go to die. Anyway, that portion of the road trip is done and it was now time to enter the belly of the beast. Fenway Park. And they had to face the Stud of Studs, Jon Lester. This is what I wrote on my Twitter feed before the game : ah shit....it's the super stud. Can we beat these assholes tonight? Please?
Oh and Sportsnet had a shot of Lyle Overbay closing one nostril and blowing snot out the other while chatting with another guy after hitting his homerun. I will miss the defense, I will miss the pretty swing, I will miss the Albino power but I sure as hell not miss that image. Boys are so gross.
Canadians are nothing if not obliging, and the Blue Jays will oblige Lester by swinging under his fastball, over his cutter and long before his changeup crosses the plate. Brett Cecil will oblige the Red Sox by pitching batting practice, followed by an early departure.

Ok, other than a maybe a game or two where it was brutal, the season series has been much closer than the win-loss record would indicate. And the Jays have outright owned the Sox in the past decade, which really meant very little in the overall scheme of things. So kindly fuck off.

And the socialistic system they have there has nearly bankrupted them." He said that and the budget surplus for that year was 7 billion dollars. I wonder how he felt when the socialistic team laid a beating on those honest American boys.

I've been in Canada since Monday. The Canadians are wonderful people! This is the first game I've been able to watch in over week and I think it's safe to say this debacle is my fault for being in Canada and enjoying it. I heard he was taken on and beaten.
So the Jays massacred the Red Sox 16-2. Overbay had 7 RBIs, John Buck made a nice return, John McDonald hit a 3 run homer and Jose Bautista hit his 38th homerun without having a full beard. Is there a limit to his powers?
Oh and I keep seeing DJF commentators posting links to SOSH. Stop that, go back to your own shtick, which is commenting idiotically and making Stoeten apoplectic.
