Wow, Man
What's that, Terry Francona? "He's become one of the most dangerous hitters in the game. He's figured it out at a little bit later stage of his career, but he's figured it out."
You want to add something, Joe Maddon? "He's not missing anything. When you make a mistake, it's getting crushed. And this guy works good at-bats, too. If you want to try to expand the strike zone, down and away, he'll spit on it a lot of times."
Big ups and salutations to Jose Bautista hitting his 48th homerun and setting a new record for the Jays, finally besting George Bell's from 1987. This season completely surprised me with the amount of joy found within it, and Bautista is one of the major reasons for that.
One note from Clarence: "Jose, wow, man," manager Cito Gaston said. "It couldn't happen to a nicer person, as far as a player and teammate. I'm proud to be here to see it."
Me, too, Clarence. Me, too.
