Fun with SOSH

Well, few teams in the big leagues are as hot as the Toronto Blue Jays. It was damn fun rolling into Fenway and sweeping them away. Yes, it would have been much better to roll in and do this in MAY!!! but, I think we give thanks for all our gifts. During Red Sox losses, the most fun place to be on the Internet is the Sons of Sam Horn board. They were rather subdued this time around, first, due to the shock of their sucking and then in the hangover of playoff clinching. But here are some of the highlights:

Game 1

Aaron Hill has 35 homeruns?!?!?!

I know! And yes, that was the only interesting thing said in that whole game.

Game 2

The past week hasn't made me feel too good about our chances against ANYBODY in the post season.

It's true. The Sox did look rather ass-tacular. Out pitched, out hit and out fielded.

is anyone gonna SACK UP????

Hey ... if he pulls himself together and gets out of the inning with just the one run scoring, I think he'll be fine.
Everything is fine!!!

Celebrating after a loss is lame.

No worries. Its Wakefield/Halladay tomorrow baby.

Well, they were asking for someone to sack up. If someone is gonna sack, you know it'll be Doc.

Maybe Gaston does steal signs.

Yeah, that's a great theory. That's why we bookended endless sucking with awesome play.

This team better sack up quickly, or they're in deep shit come playoff time. This is an absolute disgrace.

It's starting to sink in.

Those fake umpires in the first row behind the plate are mildly amusing.

If we were looking for an illustration of the fundamental differences between Jays fans and Sox fans, that just might be it.

Why can't we have offensive firepower like Jose Bautista

The Blue Jays circa June 2009 are asking themselves the same thing.

I still think we win this game. But wouldn't it be fitting if our spirtual leader Wakefield outpitches Halliday and clinches the wildcard.

Yeah, cause Halliday sucks. But unfortunately, Halladay is pitching game 3.

In ten years people will remember this night as the great comeback against the Blue Jays that clinched the 2009 wild card.

No, I think instead it will be remembered as the game where the Sox realized they were a bit fucked for the playoffs.

I'm more worried about how we've been pitching down the stretch, rather than getting in or not. Seriously? 5 HRs? 3 by Lind? Come on!

Adam Lind is a BEAST. Show some respect.

How the fuck can he look at a fastball over the plate there?

He was busy waggling his ass.

Okay, off to puke now.

Well, then they clinched. But we didn't have to witness any of this shit

On behalf of everyone of Scottish ancestry, I am deeply ashamed.

Game 3

I could care less about a W in this one, but I would love to see some bench guys have big games.

Delusions will not help you now.

Halladay's strike zone is obscenely generous

Yeah, cause the Sox never get calls at Fenway, ever.

Why the hell are warnings being issued there? That's ridiculous. Edit: Unless it's payback for Lind.

I just gotta say, that was so totally boss of Doc. And it was probably also a little personal, cause Papi has owned Halladay the last few years. And Papi took it like a man, unlike certain others who throw their purses at Porcello and cry.

Remy in the feed after cut to commercial: "How many home runs do they have in this series? Feels like a hundred.."

It was an awesome display.

Threw at pretty much the only guy in tonight's lineup that can't afford a suspension other than Seabass. Pussy.

Please say that to Doc's face on gameday, you pastey masshole.

I'm *SO* glad we didn't pick up Halladay. I mean, the dude is terrible. How can he *NOT* no-hit this lineup? What a colossal fail.

Indeed.

Where the hell are those first row umpires tonight? That's what this game is lacking.

Oh save us, Jeebus.

You know what's amazing? This game is less than 3 hours old.

Well, Doc was efficient in his owning.

So that's it. It was pretty dull, other than all the pretty homeruns and Doc's second near no-hit in a month. That, and the Sox looking pretty much useless at a very inopportune time. But I must say I missed the hate and the casual racism.
